July Adventures!

I just got home from a week and a half trip down to Delaware and Maryland! I was able to share at 3 churches and work at the Chesapeake District Family Camp. It was a long and hot week! but we had great time and God was definitly at work in the lives of the kids and adults at camp. The speaker, Matt Leroy, talked about how God loves us and how that looks in our lives and should play itself out every day. I really enjoyed all of his sessions and was able to learn so much. I was able to visit Belthel Wesleyan, Laurel Wesleyan, and Milton Wesleyan. All three of these churches were great and showed awesome hospitality! God worked in great ways through the people at these churches and at camp! I am now up to 24% funded and going strong. It is my goal to be in New Zealand by Christmas of this year. I know that this is a high goal, but I also know that God is far greater and stronger and if it is his will, it will happen!

New Faith Promises!!

Yesterday a few new faith promises came in that were fairly significant! They put me up to 21% funded! I know that I still have a long way to go, but it is so encouraging to make some significant progress. I am really thankful for the churches and individuals who have decided to partner with me! My goal is to be able to leave for New Zealand sometime this fall, and definitly before Christmas. Some people have told me that this is a very ambitious goal. And my response it YES IT IS! I know that there is no way in my own power that I am going to reach this goal, it is going to have to be 100% GOD! And that is how I want to live. I want to live in a way that people will be able to tell that God is living and working in my life. My friend and fellow NZ missionary, Steph just arrived in NZ after a very lengthy process. She is so encouraging to me because it is obvious that she is obedient and patient for God's timing. And now she is there and loving it and making a huge difference for Christ in the lives of the people there! How Awesoeme! Anyways this is just a little bit of my ramblings about what is going on right now! I hope that it gives you a bit of an update! I have a New Zealand Party coming up tomorrow and I will share how it goes and how you can be involved more!

New Zealand Trip... January 2010

When I was in New Zealand in January I had the opportunity to help out with the Wesleyan youth summer camp. I had a great time and was able to meet a lot of really cool people. The picture to the left is of me with the girls in my cabin at camp.
When camp was done I got to meet more people, see the city, and have some fun! One day Jo and Sarah took me Bungy Jumping off the Auckland Harbor Bridge! It was really scary, but I had loved it!
The whole time I was in NZ I stayed with Nigel and Julia Harkness and there son Nathaniel. They were awesome! One day they took me to the Coramandal and down to Cathedral Cove. It was beautiful!
Overall, I had a an awesome trip and I cannot wait to get back and start doing sports ministry!

first update!

Well here is my attempt at a first update… Things have been busy for me the past few weeks. I just got back from a week in Indiana at FLAME. I took Homiletics and Expository Preaching. Finishing these two classes means that I have completed all of my requirements for Ordination! I had a really good time and met a lot of really cool people. I also had the opportunity to stay with the Bowlins for one night. Anyways… this is what is going on right now in my life. Please pray that Churches would be willing and open to having me come share and that they would feel called to join my team.
